A reception is planned at the gallery for Nov. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. to which the public is invited. Many of the artists will be present to meet with visitors to the gallery.
The ESAL is a group of professional artist friends, who have shown and painted together and glean their painting inspirations from the landscape, people, culture, history, and natural history of the eastern Sierra. Their diverse work and interpretation of the eastern Sierra ranges from abstract to impressionistic to representational and includes members from Ridgecrest, Calif. to Winnemuca. Mediums include oil, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink, acrylic and wood turning.
