Douglas High students to perform at CCMES Family Night

Douglas High School drama students will perform dog stories at 7 p.m. at the next Family Library Evening, April 14, at C.C. Meneley Elementary School.

The performances are directed by Rod Hearn, DHS drama teacher.

The stories the students will perform include “Dog Donovan,” by Diane Hendry, “Dog Breath,” by Dav Pilkey and “A Flea in the Ear,” by Stephen Wyllie, a Nevada Young Reader nominee in 1998.

All families are welcome to help celebrate National Library Week, April 12-16, this evening.

The school will be open for families to check visit the library and use the school computers from 6 to 8 p.m. and the performances will be held at 7 p.m.

On April 28, a special presentation on spelling awareness from 6 to 7 p.m. at the second Family Library evening this month. It will be held April 28, 6 to 8 p.m.

Refreshments will be served at both events.
