Douglas High parents to meet
The November meeting of the Douglas High School Parent Involvement Association will cover the following topics:
– The AP program – what it is and what it isn’t.
– Competencies, including an update by principal Charlie Condron on where the Class of 2002 is in their mastery, and the recovery programs intended to help students having trouble passing the required tests for graduation.
– A potential stoplight at Highway 88 and County Road – this intersection is a nightmare at lunchtime, as well as before and after school and during special events.
The DHS Parent Involvement Association meetings are open to the public. All parents and guardians of DHS students are encouraged and invited to attend.
The November meeting will be held in the school library, behind the main building, on Wednesday, Nov. 29 starting at 7 p.m. For more information, call the school at 782-5136.
