Dog obedience class scheduled

Staff reports

Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will offer a new session in dog obedience, with instructor Guy Yeaman.

Class dates are Wednesdays, Jan. 28-Mar. 4. The course is six weeks long and the registration fee is $60. Classes are held at the Douglas County fairgrounds.

Dog owners will learn to use a light-handed approach in establishing good conduct and curbing bad habits. Yeaman will help owners teach dogs to obey the commands heel, sit, stand, stay and recall. Each dog will need a fabric or leather leash and a choke chain.

Pre-registration is required for all recreation classes. For more information, call the recreation office at 782-9828.
