2 apprehended for huffing
On Monday, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were notified of two people acting suspicious in a vehicle in the parking lot of Wal-Mart Store, 3770 Highway 395 in northern Douglas County. When deputies arrived at the location they found a male and female who had inhaled from a can of compressed air, commonly referred to as “huffing.” Both exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of an inhalant.
The male was identified as Jesus Fausto, 18, from Carson City. It was determined he was on probation and being supervised by Alternative Sentencing in Carson City. He was transported to jail and charged with unlawful use of an inhalant, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, disorderly conduct and obstruction. Fausto also has an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold.
The female was 17 years old. She was transported to Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility. Both suspects were checked by paramedics.
