A Wellington woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly speeding through town while under the influence of alcohol.

Theresa L. Schirmer, 41, was pulled over after deputies spotted her driving a Honda Civic about 60 mph on Highway 395 in a 25 mph zone.

According to deputies, Schirmer had a preliminary breath test of .227 and was driving with a suspended license.

Her bail is set at $3,368.

A Gardnerville Ranchos man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle — traveling on Highway 395 without a rear license plate — that was being driven by Timothy A. Christensen, 47. Deputies spotted two methamphetamine pipes covered with residue in the car.

When Christensen was booked, he allegedly had methamphetamine on him.

His bail is set at $5,643.
