A man and woman are facing multiple life sentences on charges of sexual assault and child pornography with a 3-year-old girl after they were indicted by the Douglas County grand jury on Wednesday.
Indian Hills resident Ciro Camacho III, 33, and Los Angeles resident Umi Hongo, 23, face charges in connection with an April 13 incident, according to District Attorney Mark Jackson.
The girl's name is being kept confidential by Nevada law, Jackson said
Camacho is in the Carson City Jail. His bail is set at $1 million, cash only. Hongo is in custody in Los Angeles and will be extradited back to Douglas County. Her bail is set at $500,000, cash only.
Jackson presented the case to the grand jury, which returned indictments against Camacho for five counts of sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age and one count of using a child in producing pornography and against Hongo for four counts of principal to sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age and one count related to child pornography.
If convicted, each child sexual assault charge carries a punishment of life imprisonment with parole eligibility after 35 years and the child pornography charge carries a punishment of life imprisonment with parole eligibility after 10 years.
