Oregon man arrested on charges of sexual assault on a minor
An Oregon man was arrested Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.
Juan G. Ramirez-Vargas, of Happy Valley, Ore., reportedly molested the 7-year-old at an apartment in the Ironwood subdivision in Minden.
His bail is set at $50,000.
A Gardnerville man was arrested Saturday for allegedly stalking his estranged wife.
The victim reported that Antonial O. Larry had left a total of 15 threatening voicemails over a two-day period.
The voicemails included messages stating he would kill the victim and her mother, that he would stab her, and that she wouldn’t live through the night.
She reported that he is an ex-felon and had battered and strangled her numerous times in the past. She also said he had previously been convicted of domestic battery.
His bail is set at $26,283.
A transient man was arrested Monday in Indian Hills on multiple charges.
Deputies responded to a report of a white Jeep driving in circles for several hours in front of the Topsy Lane Famous Footwear. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly involved in a theft from the store.
When deputies arrived they found Justin E. Wingfield, 23, the sole occupant of the vehicle. Wingfield told deputies he was waiting for a friend, but didn’t offer details and provided a false name.
When they discovered his real name, they learned he had a warrant for his arrest out of Carson City. Wingfield also had heroin, paraphernalia and hypodermic needles in his possession.
His bail is set at $28,652.
