Man living under false name waives extradition

A California man waived his extradition after he was arrested Wednesday in Indian Hills.

Farand Thomas Hoaglin, 38, was arrested after a tip that a man going by the name of Thomas Kizer was wanted in California for a parole violation.

Hoaglin was booked into Douglas County Jail and on Friday confirmed his identity to the judge.

■ A Gardnerville woman who failed to appear in court turned herself and is in jail awaiting a Douglas County District Court date.

Kyndall Swift, 25, was wanted on a warrant after she missed court on July 7.

Swift is facing a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance while on probation for possession of a vehicle without the owner's permission, a gross misdemeanor.

Tyler Chadwick, 33, was allegedly driving southbound on Highway 395 when he was pulled over by Nevada Highway Patrol troopers on Aug. 3.

■ A warrant was issued Wednesday for the arrest of a Carson City man who tried to break a store window on July 15.

Michael Shawn Daggett, 21, admitted destruction of property. In a plea deal, he was to receive a suspended 30-day jail sentence and pay for the window.

He failed to appear for sentencing on Wednesday.
