A Reno man who drove his car through the rocks at Silver City RV park was arrested for driving under the influence on Saturday night.

Wyatt Over, 28, was taken into custody after deputies responded to a report of a collision on Highway 395.

When they arrived at about 10:42 p.m. they found a white Nissan SUV in the parking lot with front and driver’s side damage. Both driver’s side tires were flat.

Deputies said witnesses pointed out Over, who then ran toward the store. When called, Over then ran back at deputies in what they reported was a threatening manner. He was taken to the ground and handcuffed.

Deputies put him in a patrol car after bystanders started to yell and provoke Over.

According to witnesses, Over’s Nissan was northbound on Highway 395 when it left the highway and drove over the rock landscaped area north of the entrance to the business.

Over got out of the vehicle, said “nothing is wrong,” and then got back in and tried to start it. He then got back out, urinated in the parking lot and was walking to the store and arguing with people along the way when deputies arrived.

A man whose car was parked next to Over’s said his car was damaged when the Nissan pulled in.

A breath test revealed Over had a blood alcohol content of .163, more than twice the legal limit.
