Man arrested in South Lake theft
A Reno man accused of theft was stopped for allegedly taking a pellet gun from a store in South Lake Tahoe was stopped in Douglas County on Monday.
Deputies responded to Highway 50 to head off a silver Volkswagen that was northbound.
They spotted a vehicle matching the description in Stateline, which then pulled into the Zephyr Cove campground where they stopped.
Micah Flaherty, 33, was taken into custody after South Lake Tahoe police identified him as a suspect in the crime.
Items from the store were allegedly found in his vehicle.
Sixteen items of drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.
Flaherty was transported to Stateline jail in Douglas County, and booked for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and South Lake Tahoe Police Department will be submitting for a warrant for their charges, Douglas County Sgt. Bernadette Smith said.
