A Gardnerville man was arrested last week on charges of domestic battery and robbery.
A robbery was reported June 6 at Jack in the Box in Gardnerville. A woman claimed Devon J. Woolard, 20, threw her down and took money from her.
According to court documents, Woolard was spotted in a vehicle at McDonald’s. He admitted to taking the woman’s money, but claimed it was a drug deal gone bad. He had apparently tried to sell her a substance he claimed was methamphetamine but he knew wasn’t. According to the victim, she and Woolard were formerly in a relationship.
His bail is set at $5,000.
A Minden woman in possession of drugs and paraphernalia was arrested Sunday on a warrant.
Deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on Pinenut Road. Multiple people in a gray Chevy truck were involved in the disturbance, including Tia L. Bacon, 33, who had a warrant out for her arrest.
At the time of her arrest deputies found methamphetamine, a needle and a pipe on her.
Her bail is set at $6,283.
