Lake Tahoe man arrested in connection with Monday stabbings

Colin Hauge was arrested after he was released from the hospital.
Hauge was one of two people with stab wounds found after South Lake Tahoe police responded to a 911 call on Herbert Avenue. Officers began first aid and both subjects were taken to the hospital.
Hauge is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and preventing or dissuading a witness and domestic violence.
The investigation is ongoing, and no more information is available at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation and to provide privacy to the victims involved.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the South Lake Tahoe Police Department at (530) 542-6100 and reference case No. 2010-1791.
Hauge was arrested after an Aug. 17 collision with an electric scooter that resulted in a woman’s serious injury at Johnson Boulevard and Fairway Avenue.
Police arrested Hauge as he left his car and was walking into his home on Herbert Avenue. Officers reportedly had to force their way into his home and he was subsequently arrested for felony hit and run.
