Instagram post leads deputies to Mono County graffiti artist
A Bridgeport woman is facing felony vandalism charges after she allegedly posted her work to Instagram on Tuesday.
Lorena Holdaway, 21, was arrested on Wednesday after Mono County employees found the entire wall of the Bridgeport ballfields bathroom had been painted with the words Digit N8tive on Wednesday morning. At about the same time, the sheriff’s office received information about a social media post claiming responsibility for the graffiti, Sheriff Ingrid Braun said.
Deputies went to the last known address of the poster, when two people fled out a back window, and into the sagebrush.
Holdaway was taken into custody. She was booked into the Mono County Jail on a charge of felony vandalism, and an unrelated Ventura County felony warrant.
A photo of the graffiti is posted to Instagram under Holdaway’s account. The Record-Courier does not publish photos of graffiti.
