Identity of man sought in big television caper

Authorities are hoping to identify a man who tried to roll two 48-inch television sets out of the Grant Avenue Walmart on Aug. 9.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the man got out of a silver Dodge pickup at 1:50 a.m. The truck then drove around to the emergency exit and parked.

The man picked out two LED HD televisions and put them into a cart and made his way toward sporting goods.

He then ran to the emergency exit, pushing through the doors and sounding the alarm.

He got into the Dodge without the televisions. The entire incident took 10 minutes.

The man was described as 30 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 250-280 pounds, with short black hair and a full beard.

A reward is being offered through Secret Witness to anyone with information leading to the conviction of the person responsible.
