Child safe, father arrested

A 22-year-old man accused of taking his noncustodial child from a Kings Lane home is in custody and the child is safe.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gardnerville. The child’s mother said the man, David Baker III, left in a Subaru with three other adults.
Douglas County issued a bulletin to surrounding agencies and learned at about 5 p.m. that he was picked up by South Lake Tahoe police.
