Condron cites family, obligations in resignation from Minden board
Minden Town Board members will meet today to discuss finding a replacement for Charlie Condron, who resigned effective Thursday.
Condron has served on the town board for five years, and will be the second person requiring replacement in the last two years.
“My increased time commitments to my family, my personal life and my growing professional obligations have decreased my ability to be an effective board member,” he said. “The Town of Minden needs and deserves leadership that can spend the necessary time to take Minden into the future.”
Condron is also Carson River federal water master.
A retired school principal, Condron was elected to the town board in 2010.
He was a key participant in establishing the Minden Main Street program. He also was a supporter of William Souligny’s appointment to the town board.
Both Souligny’s and Condron’s seats will be up for election in November.
The Minden Town Board meets 5:30 p.m. in the CVIC Hall.
