Church sets ‘Outreach Through Puppets’

Staff reports

High Sierra Fellowship will host a children’s worker seminar, “Outreach Through Puppets,” on Saturday, March 20, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The seminar is open to those interested in working with puppets in a church environment.

The Outreach Through Puppets Seminar is designed for church workers who are working with children or are interested in puppets and drama. Participants will learn how to perform with puppets. They will also write their own scripts and understand the process of writing many more. Each attendee will be given the opportunity to perform his or her skit live.

Kevin O’Neil, the instructor, is a world-class puppeteer who has been working with children and puppets around the world for over 20 years. He will spend time giving testimony about the ministry of puppets, provide information about where to obtain high-quality puppets and talk about stage building.

O’Neil, who has been in the mission field in Mexico for over 10 years, will soon be going to Ecuador. He will be the special guest speaker at High Sierra Fellowship on Sunday, March 21, 9:30 a.m., during the regular Sunday worship service.

The Outreach Through Puppets Seminar will be given free of charge; however, an offering will be taken to help with the costs. High Sierra Fellowship will provide a catered lunch at a minimal cost for those who wish. Anyone interested in the seminar may contact Pastor Rich Lammay at 782-7486. High Sierra Fellowship is located at 1516 Highway 395, Suite E, Haas Center, Gardnerville.
