Staff reports

Coleville Middle School and Coleville High School held its annual Career Day April 1. This event was planned by the Associated Student Body and the business class taught by Sharon Allen.

Motivational speakers from Bently Nevada spoke on career choices. Also participating in the career day were over 22 presenters from a variety of professions, including a veterinarian, engineer, doctor, district attorney, computer programmer, appraiser, beauty consultant, and emergency medical personnel, as well as representatives from the forest service, gaming, CalTrans and the Sheriff’s department.

A highlight of the day was the appearance of news reporter John Tyson of News Channel 8-KOLO.

“The staff and students of Coleville Middle School and Coleville High School would like to thank all the presenters for their time and effort that made this event so successful and educational,” said Allen. “We look forward to next year’s Career Day.”
