Students from Scarselli Elementary School’s Cheetah Club recently awarded a check for $500 to Douglas Animal Welfare Group.

The Cheetah Club organized a fundraiser to help raise money for this worthy organization.

Club members sold paper paws for $.25 each to students at SES.

The “PAWS for D.A.W.G.” were hung on classroom doors.

The fundraiser was a success with 2,000 PAWS sold.

Joyce Kammersell and Alison Grey from D.A.W.G. came to Scarselli to accept the check and tell the Cheetah members what happens to the money.

We learned that D.A.W.G. helps animals in many ways.

They provide funds to local veterinarians to help cover the costs of medical expenses, provide food to low income pet owners, and help people with training.
