CCMES to offer art and music next week

A show will highlight the work of students in the art program at C.C. Meneley Elementary School Dec. 12.

The students have been working on their art projects for the past six months, and parents will have the opportunity to paint a picture like the one that some of the students worked on this year, teacher

Refreshments will be served. The event will be held 6-7:30 p.m. at the school, 1446 Muir Dr., Gardnerville Ranchos.

Timeless Sculpture, a new business at Lake Tahoe, will demonstrate sculpting in an effort to expose children to the art of sculpture.

In addition, the Carson Valley community is invited to a holiday season a concert at C.C. Meneley Elementary School Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m.

The concert will include the CCMES Kid’s Choir, the Douglas High School Madrigal Singers and the Western Nevada Community College Concert Choir.

“This is a wonderful chance to enjoy a whole range of ages singing and different songs and styles. Each choir will perform their favorites for the holiday season,” said Claudia Bertolone of CCMES.

There will be cookies and beverages afterwards. The school is lcoated at 1446 Muir Dr., Gardnerville Ranchos.
