CCMES to host 1999 carnival

C.C. Meneley Elementary School will host its 1999 carnival on May 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Raffle tickets are now on sale, offering chances to win two adult one-day ski passes from Kirkwood, a one-month family swim pass at the Carson Valley Swim Center, a 24-inch mountain bike from Coast to Coast and two passes to Six Flags Marine World.

An auction for items such as four priority passes from Universal Studios, two commodore’s passes from Hornblower Cruises, dinner for two at Fiona’s or Michael’s at the Carson Valley Inn and two rounds of golf at Genoa Lakes will also be held. Other events include a bounce house plus a 4-H petting zoo and carnival games.

Proceeds from the carnival will help pay for assemblies, scholarships for two Douglas High School seniors, science equipment and teacher requests.
