CCMES plans Family Reading Night

Staff reports

Parents and their kids who attend C. C. Meneley Elementary School are invited to the Family Reading Evening set for Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 6-8 p.m.

Students and moms and dads will read along with teachers and CCMES staff. They will also share their love of reading with class plays, puppet shows and choral reading. Individual students have signed up with librarian Dianne Rogers to read their favorite book aloud.

Laura Parsons, CCMES reading specialist, will be dressed as Franklin the Turtle, and vice principal Brian Frazier will open the computer lab for reading and writing activities.

A big part of the evening will be the Books on Tour Scholastic Book Fair.
