Busy day at museum Sept. 9
The Carson Valley Historical Society will hold its final Antiques and Collectibles Sale on Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the front lawn of the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Next door at the Old Gym Playhouse, the second Appraisal Fair will also be going on at the same time.
Several of the regular antique and collectibles vendors will be on hand. The Karters will be back with their large collection of glass and lots of other collectibles. Ida Waldron has jewelry, old books, pictures and other interesting items. Marc Claude Mansmith brings small furniture and small items for decorating the home. Debbie and Richard Painter have a lot of primitives. Cleone Bujalski has dolls, china and new Native American jewelry. Margie Clement will be bringing cookie jars, plates and miscellaneous collectibles. Iola Woodcock has old bottles and various other goodies. Carmen Navarro always has a variety of interesting treasures for sale.
There are still a few spaces available for anyone who would like to sell their treasures. Spaces are 10 feet by 10 feet and the fee is $25. The historical society will be selling refreshments and hot dogs throughout the day.
