Next cash mob at Battle Born Wine

Battle Born Wine is the location for the next cash mob 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 7.

Battle Born Wine is a locally owned wine and craft beer store that carries more than 500 wines and beers.

“They offer superior customer service, competitive pricing, and unrivaled knowledge from friendly owner, and certified sommelier, Troy Phillips,” organizers said. “They have inventory starting as low as $4.99 as well as gift certificates and gift baskets. They offer wine, craft beer, spirits tastings, weekly and monthly wine education courses, too.”

Cash mobs continue to raise awareness in the Main Street Gardnerville district. The cash mob economic stimulus campaign is aimed at supporting local businesses and rebuilding communities.

Cash mobbers join together and commit to spending $10-20 at a predetermined local business.

“Cash mobbing is an increasingly popular way to enable community members to make a difference for locally owned businesses,” organizers said. “Locals are asked to join the Facebook group Main Street Gardnerville Cash Mob, then invite their friends to do the same, sharing the idea with their friends. Help spread the word by utilizing your social media contacts and friends to make an impact on our locally owned businesses.”

A cash mob business is selected via random drawing of Main Street Gardnerville business members.

Battle Born Wine is located at 1448 Main Street in Gardnerville. Contact the store at 782-7684, online at http://www.BattleBornWine.com or find them on Facebook.

“According to the American independent Business Alliance, when a consumer spends $100 in a locally owned business, $45 of it stays in the community,” organizers said. “When that same $100 is spent in a national chain store, only $13 stays local. A Cash Mob is just one way that a shopper can have a huge impact on our local economy.”
