Saletti’s hosts fundraiser

Saletti’s Restaurant is hosting a Tip a Player fundraiser 4:30 p.m. to close Friday.

All tips and donations stay in Douglas County for the Girls Club Volleyball Team.

Tip or donate $50 and receive a $25 gift certificate to Saletti’s. All players will earn their tips/donations by serving, bussing, seating, and greeting.

Reservations are recommended to 782-2500.

Breath Body Works open house Friday

Breath Body Works is hosting an open house 4-7 p.m. Friday at 1625 Highway 88 in Minden, according to owner Marta Olson.

Olson said her business forcuses on drug-free options for people in pain. For more information call 782-6767.

GadZooks hosts open house

GadZooks hosts an open house 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 25 featuring a Washoe members arts and crafts exhibit.

An opening reception is 2 p.m. Jan. 25 with storytellers and singers. The exhibit runs through Feb. 26.

Killer Salsa ribbon cutting Jan. 25

Killer Salsa is having a ribbon cutting Jan. 25 at their new space, 811 Short Court in the Gardnerville Ranchos (near Pizza Factory).

They’re celebrating the move with chips and salsa, guacamole, drinks and a drawing for a gift basket full of salsa for a Super Bowl party. The ribbon cutting is 1 p.m., with festivities throughout the afternoon.

Leadership class starts Tuesday

Leadership Douglas County’s Class of 2014 begins their year on Tuesday with Orientation Day at Genoa Lakes.

LDC alumni are invited to meet the class and share a few words of advice and encouragement during the continental breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m.

Graduates must complete an 11-month program of site visits, classroom instruction and homework assignments, along with a class project, to earn the graduate status.
