Kaia Fit offers classes at community center
Kaia Fit Minden will begin offering women-specific fitness extention courses in Gardnerville at the new Douglas County Community Center.
Kaia Fit will be holding the first session of 2015 on Jan. 5, which is a six-week, boot camp style session that meets five days a week.
“The group classes meet indoors and outdoors and use a series of diverse exercises —from running to kickboxing, yoga and resistance training — that put together, equal a total-body, remarkably effective fitness program,” organizers said. “The program also includes nutrition education and coaches who are certified trainers that help women meet individual goals in a supportive and enjoyable group atmosphere.”
Free demonstration classes will be offered 8 a.m. Saturday, and Dec. 20 and 27 at the community center. The class offers potential Kaia Girls the opportunity to come out and see what Kaia Fit is all about. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
Kaia Fit Minden is currently hosting the first annual Winter Warrior Waistline Challenge, an internal program that encourages Kaia Girls to stay healthy through the holiday season. Kaia Fit is also currently collecting unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army.
