Bridal fair held at CVI
Complimentary refreshments, a full range of vendors and services, free wedding seminars, a place for the guys to hang out and an assortment of wedding-related prizes are all part of the Bridal Fair at the Carson Valley Inn on Feb. 23. The event runs from 2-5 p.m. in the Valley Ballroom and is co-hosted by The Entertainer, a wedding facilitator and decorator.
Brides and their families will have a chance to mingle with providers including confections, DJ’s, hair salons, makeup, photographers, florists, officiates, décor & design, a chocolatier, musicians, and, of course, the folks from the The Entertainer and the Carson Valley Inn.
“You’ll have access to all the businesses, services and people you’ll need to plan your perfect wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner and accommodations for your out-of-town guests,” organizers said. “Scheduled seminars will be presented by those who live, sleep and breath weddings as they present free informative sessions on all the dos, don’t and ‘for gosh sake’s don’t even think about it’ aspects of wedding planning, suppliers, protocol, enhancements and deterrents.”
There will seminars on photography, flowers, DJ/Emcee, chocolate as a wedding enhancement, catering and bakery and event coordinating and design.
“Our VIP ‘Picon’ room, located across from the Valley Ballroom will be set up to keep the guys; groom-to-be, father of the bride, future father-in-law, best man occupied and close-by while the brides, their mothers and friends tend to the important stuff,” organizers said. “The bar will be open, complimentary snacks will be provided, and the HDTVs will be tuned in to the NBA games (Bulls vs. Heat and more that day).”
Complimentary refreshments at the Bridal Fair include a sampling of the Carson Valley Inn’s reception and banquet offerings and wedding cakes – all made fresh on-premises. Drawings are being provided by each vendor and the grand prize drawing is for a one-night stay in a Carson Valley Inn Suite plus dinner for two in CV Steak and breakfast the next morning in Katie’s.
