Amanda Boyd and Cpl. Mitchell Summers are engaged to be married Nov. 2 in Genoa.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gardnerville residents Douglas and Valdis Boyd. She is a 2009 Douglas graduate, and lives in El Paso, Texas.
The groom-to-be is the son of Kathy and Mark Summers.
He is a 2010 Douglas graduate, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.
