Biaggis honored for their 60th wedding anniversary

Surrounded by family and friends, Mary and Aldo Biaggi renewed their wedding vows Aug. 19 to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

The Biaggis were married Aug. 19, 1940, in Gardnerville. Aldo Biaggi, a lifelong resident of Carson Valley, is a retired milk distributor. Mary Biaggi moved to the Valley from Bridgeport, Calif., to attend high school. She is a homemaker.

The Biaggis are life-long members of St. Gall Catholic Church where they renewed their vows during 5 p.m. Mass. The Biaggis were honored at a family dinner at Genoa Lakes on Saturday night and a brunch on Sunday at the home of their daughter and son-in-law Carol and Andy Aldax.

Hosts for the weekend activities also included son and daughter-in-law Allen and Linda Biaggi of Gardnerville and daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Bob McRae of Seattle.

Other family members in attendance included grandchildren Mark Aldax, Julie Callahan, Gary Aldax, Diane Pickerill, Cheryl McRae and Whitney and Taylor Biaggi; and great-grandchildren Lindsey and Rachel Aldax and Hannah and Adrienne Pickerill.

Aldo Biaggi’s sisters and brothers-in-law Ida and Larry Fortin of Victorville, Calif., and Del and John Baeta of Sacramento and their families also attended.
