Beer- and wine-tasting event coming up
The Soroptimist International of Carson Valley’s highly popular Savor the Flavor, a wine and beer tasting, will be held April 4 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center.
“Celebrate the Past Toast the Future” is the theme for the event, which will offer tasting of several fine wines and beers and include entertainment by the Chorus of the Comstock and George Hanepen, a Valley jazz musician and favorite with audiences in the area.
An array of fancy hors d’oeuvres will tempt the palate of everyone who attends, according to Soroptimist member Leesa Hanson.
Sold along with tickets to the tasting are Super Megabucks raffle tickets. At six for $5, the lucky winner will be able to give 100 pulls on the Super Megabucks machine at the Carson Valley Inn.
Tickets to the Savor the Flavor are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and one must be 21 to be able to attend. Tickets may be purchased from any member or at The Record-Courier, Nevada State Bank in Gardnerville and Carson City, Sharkey’s, PJ’s Liquors and Carson Valley Market.
