Baby classes offered
Family to Family Connection at Western Nevada Community College is a free service for the parents of children zero to 12 months old. Upcoming classes include:
Raising a Smart Baby series. Reach for the Gold features games and activities aimed at helping develop fine motor skills in babies ages 8-12 months; today at 10:30 a.m.
Rethink: How to Deal with Children’s Challenging Behaviors helps parents learn how to manage anger and challenge it in a positive direction in a series of four classes. There is a $10 class fee for materials and scholarships are available. It begins Thursday, Nov. 5, 6-8 p.m. This class is open to all parents of children of all ages.
Infant CPR. Participants learn how to handle a medical emergency. This class is not for certification. It will be held Friday, Nov. 6, 10:30 a.m.
Children with Special needs Parent Support Group meets Friday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m.; call 887-4156 for location.
All classes are held at the new Baby Center at WNCC in Carson City unless otherwise listed. Call 887-4156 if you have any questions or to reserve a space.
