Cyclists in the Amgen Breakaway from Heart Disease women's race turn off Fredricksburg on to Foothill Road as they head toward Kingsbury Grade during the second of four stages on Friday. The tour ended Sunday in Sacramento and came right down to the wire as 2016 Olympic gold medalist Anna van Breggen edged out Katie Hall for the overall victory — by one second (Hall took a one-second overall lead into the final stage . Hall beat van der Bruggen in a sprint to the finish at Heavenly Mountain Resort to win the second stage over a 67.1-mile route that passed through Carson Valley. Hall's UnitedHealthCare teamfinished in first-place in the overall team standings. In 2016, van der Breggen won the Summer Olympics women's road race for the Netherlands
