Artist to demonstrate at meeting, sets class

Greg Drinkwine, a renowned Alla Prima artist, will appear on Friday, June 26, 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library in Minden as guest artist for the Carson Valley Art Association. He will demonstrate the technique of oils in landscape painting.

There is no admission charge and the public is invited.

Drinkwine will also present an intensive three-day workshop on “The Great Art of Plein-Air Landscape Painting” on June 22-24 at Fallen Leaf Lake in South Lake Tahoe. The workshop is open to all levels from beginning to advanced. The cost is $150. For further information on or to register for the workshop, contact Drinkwine at 782-1934.

Drinkwine exhibits nationally and his works can be seen at the Lone Tree Gallery in Minden.

He received his education at the Art Students’ League in New York, Loveland, Academy in Colorado and at the Ecole Albert Defois in France. He also teaches privately.
