Alpine Women Artists plan Show and Sell
Alpine Women Artists, a newly-formed group of artists and artisans, extends an invitation to area residents and visitors to view a collection of original work at the Mountain and Garden Bed and Breakfast (Merrill House), 250 Pony Express Road in Woodfords, Saturday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 5 p.m.
“Enthusiasm among the mountain crafts women has reached a high level, as their fingers wield scissors, pins, needles; pens, pencils, paintbrushes, awls, scrapers, and burnishers upon fabric, paper, clay, feathers, beads, wood, leather, willows, and pine needles to evoke lasting impressions of the Alpine aura,” said Gina Gigli, group spokesperson.
At this inaugural Show and Sell exhibit at the historic Merrill House, recently remodeled by Linda Merrill and Cathy Merrill, light holiday refreshments will be served hearth-side as guests enjoy the warm fire and hospitality offered by the artists.
