Alpine Children’s Center to offer workshop on child abuse
The Alpine Children’s Center will hold a substance-related child abuse workshop March 24, with registration at 8:30 a.m. with training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The workshop will offer strategies for family preservation and the prevention and treatment of child abuse in the substance-abusing family.
Seven continuing education horse in nursing and counseling are available to participants. The workshop will be presented by Northern California Child Abuse Training and Technical Assistance Center.
The workshop will be held at Turtle Rock Park on Highway 89 between Markleeville and Woodfords. The training is offered at no charge, and morning and afternoon snack and lunch will be provided.
