AARP to hear two speakers

The Carson Valley Chapter of AARP #3683 will meet Thursday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at the Douglas senior center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.

There will be two guest speakers, Judge Jim EnEarl from the East Fork Justice Court in Minden and Ed Fend from the AARP Capitol City Task Force.

Carson Valley AARP chapter provides information, services and activities to help enhance the quality of life for seniors. The group acts as an advocate for seniors, educates and informs about legislation and advocacy, health care and wellness, offers information on economic security and life planning and consumer information and protection.

The chapter provides service programs such as “Tax Aide,” AARP safe driving program, connections for independent living and widowed persons service.
