A La Carte Salon enjoys 30 years of service
A milestone is fast approaching for A La Carte Salon as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
A celebration is planned for 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 15 during Main Street Gardnerville’s Thirsty Third Thursday Wine Walk. Festivities include live music, cake, catered appetizers, wine and free gifts.
“We are really excited about this milestone and just love our community that has supported us all these years,” said new owner Suzanne Carreau. “The business was founded 30 years ago by Gloria Kenyon and I purchased it just a few years ago. It has since evolved into a full-service salon with hair care, nails, skin care, eyelash extensions, waxing and tanning services. Bunny Parker, Emmy award-winning hairstylist, will be joining our little salon family. I can’t wait to introduce her to our community.”
A La Carte Salon, formerly A La Carte Nails, was established in 1987 and founded by Gloria Kenyon. It originally featured only nail services. Now a full service salon, it is known for its pedicures. Employees include hairstylist Kristie Parker, hairstylist Jennine Jorgenson, hairstylist Jolly Barrett, manicurist and esthetician Lori Goldberg, manicurist Jayne Smit, manicurist Tracy Brown, esthetician and eyelash extension specialist Stephanie Fulstone, and manicurist and owner Suzanne Carreau.
Carreau encourages those attending the Thirsty Third Wine Walk to stop by the salon’s booth and share in the anniversary celebration.
