4-H Sharpshooters head woo Winnemucca
Members of the Douglas County Sharpshooters will head to the Nevada 4-H Expo in Winnemucca for competition Saturday, Sept. 23.
Members of the club had to qualify either in marksmanship, archery or both. Throughout the year, members have also been learning home safety, range safety rules, first aid and CPR, range and wildlife management and, above all, good sportsmanship at all times, says spokesperson Tyrel Dressler.
The contest will start early Saturday morning with a quiz where members will be answering questions relating to what they have learned throughout the club year. After the quiz, the club members will head to the range to compete in archery and marksmanship.
Members who will compete both in archery and marksmanship are Trevor Kolbus, Kyle Martinez, Travis Pyne, Jenny Jaggard, Rawaf Rawaf, Marshal Rawaf and Brian Jaggard. Those who will just compete in marksmanship are Jessie Kolbus, Ben Wood, Sarah Smith and Tyrel Dressler. James Foster will compete in archery.
