4-H program needs adult volunteers
The Douglas County Cooperative Extension 4-H program is looking for adults who might be interested in leading a 4-H club.
“If you have a skill or talent or knowledge you’d like to share with young people, we’d like to hear from you,” said Karen Brumhall, youth program coordinator.
Some of the possible areas are theatre arts (acting, clowning, mime and puppetry); photography; geology, mining, rock collecting; kitchen science (food and nutrition, cooking and baking); personal development (self-esteem, choices, problem solving, etc.); computers; and environmental/ earth science.
For information or to sign up, contact Brumhall at 782-9960 or drop by the Extension Office across from Lampe Park in Gardnerville.
