I once heard that FEAR can be defined as False Evidence Appearing Real. There are many different kinds of fear. There is fear that makes you feel helpless.  There is a fear that is rooted in criticism from others or threats by others. There is a fear of falling. The fear of failing. Whenever you have the fear of the unknown your mind will tend to run amuck.  Have you ever felt that you would never meet the right person to share your life with? Lose your job? Or that biopsy you just had confirms the worst? Over and over the Lord tells us not to be afraid. Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” The only way to truly combat fear is with faith. Where fear says I can’t God says you can. It is important to truly get to know the One who casts away all fear, our Lord Jesus Christ. You get to know Him by knowing His word, by knowing His works, and knowing His children. The fact that you are reading this today is a great start by hearing His word. There are many people who pass right over this weekly article in indifference. You can find God’s children and His works in many places like attending a great Bible believing church and by observing how the lives of those you respect, in Christ, are lived out in front of you. Everyone has moments of fear but those who have full confidence in the Lord understand that, (Romans 8:31-33) “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?” It is God who justifies. (Philippians 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The question is not if you will have moments of fear, but when you will have fear, how strong will your faith be? There are no surprises to God in any part of your life. He is directing you so push forward and allow your faith in Him to overcome that fear you are facing.  Have a blessed week.
