Genoa, Nev. — Genoans voted to recommend a special use permit that could see the historic Kinsey House become part of Mormon Station State Historic Park. There are a lot of moving parts to this proposal, but it sounds like they’ve either been worked out or will be.

The Genoa Town Board conducted a moment of silence for member Mark Keith, who died recently. Town Chairman Gordon Pasley read a statement into the record.

High temperatures are expected to rise to 80 degrees today and keep climbing until Sunday when conditions start to cool off to the point where the forecast has a 5,400-foot snow level on Monday night. We’ll see if that holds over the next four days. The wind, if you can call it that, is forecast to pick up at 5 mph out of the west.
