Genoa, Nev. — If you’re driving in the mountains, definitely watch for fallen rocks. On Tuesday afternoon, a small rock slide was reported on Kingsbury, which is pretty typical after a storm.
The new legal kiosks at the Douglas County Public Library allowing patrons to access a variety of Nevada’s statutes will likely be a topic at today’s 8:30 a.m. meeting of the Law Library Board. The board meets upstairs at the Judicial & Law Enforcement Center in the Department 2 courtroom.
Gardnerville’s Heritage Park Gardens is undergoing major renovations including the installation of a new greenhouse and clearing out the beds and yard to make room for new beds. The Gardens are located across Slaughterhouse Lane from the park and is a Main Street Gardnerville project.
Another spring project is underway in the back room of the Genoa Town Offices to divide it into an office for the town manager and a conference room. Workers including Western Nevada College construction students were putting up a wall on Saturday.
It will be kind of nice for the last day of winter with partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 58 degrees, according to the forecast. It’s just a foregone conclusion the 10-15 mph wind will pick up out of the southwest this afternoon, gusting to 25 mph as a small front rolls through late tonight.
