Tune adds new role to Main Street Gardnerville position

Main Street Gardnerville Director Jen Tune has taken a second position as deputy executive director of the Business Council of Douglas County.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Jen to the Business Council,” said CEO and Executive Director Renea Louie, “Her deep commitment to community-driven economic growth, paired with her ability to unite diverse stakeholders, makes her the ideal leader to help us continue to elevate Douglas County as a thriving hub for business and culture.”

In her role as Deputy Executive Director, Tune will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that enhance economic opportunities, advocate for business-friendly policies, and strengthen the Council’s outreach efforts, Louie said. Her ability to connect with stakeholders and drive impactful results will be instrumental in shaping the future of Douglas County’s business landscape.

 “I am honored to join the Business Council of Douglas County and contribute to the incredible work being done at the Council for the past 33 years,” Tune said. “As one of the most respected and elevated organizations in Nevada and Douglas County, I look forward to working collaboratively with the members and the community to preserve our heritage while building a prosperous future and continue the rich history of the Council with strong advocacy and legislation.”

The Council also announced the date for the popular annual Critical Issues Conference at the Tahoe Blue Event in South Shore Lake Tahoe to be held on Sept. 16.
