There was a report someone suffered smoke inhalation from a fire at 1334 Cahi Circle in the Gardnerville Ranchos on Monday night.

East Fork firefighters arrived at the scene around 8 p.m. to find fire coming out of the back bedroom of the home, according to scanner traffic.

Four engines and three ambulances responded to the fire, according to Pulse Point, along with a squad and a utility. Medics were called to the scene to evaluate one person for smoke inhalation.

One of the engines was from Tahoe-Douglas Fire. An engine from Carson City helped cover Carson Valley while Douglas firefighters worked the blaze.

Units cleared the address by 11:30 p.m.

This was the second house fire in two weeks that resulted in major damage. A home on Jacks Valley Road in Genoa was severely damaged in a fire that appeared to have begun in an attached garage.
