A meeting of the Douglas County Planning

Commission will be held on February 11,

2025, at 1:00 pm, in the Douglas County

Commissioner Meeting Room at the Historic

Courthouse, 1616 Eighth Street, Minden.

The Planning Commission reserves the right

to: take items in a different order; combine

two or more agenda items for consideration;

remove items from the agenda; and/or delay

discussions relating to an item on the agenda

at any time.

For possible action. Discussion of the

election of the Chair and Vice Chair in

compliance with Chapter 2.06 of the Douglas

County Code and Section 2.1 of the Planning

Commission Bylaws.

For possible action. Discussion on Tentative

Subdivision Application DP24-0253, a request

to divide a 4.45-acre parcel into 30 parcels,

consisting of 29 multi-family, individually

owned units (parcels) and 1 common

space parcel. The subject parcel is zoned

Multi-Family Residential in the Gardnerville

Community Plan. The parcel is located off of

Giles Lane behind Gardnerville Elementary

School. The applicant’s representative is Keith

Ruben, R.O. Anderson – a Wilson Engineering

Company, and the owner is Chip Hanly, Santa

Ynez Valley Construction. APN:1320-33-402-

079.

For possible action. Discussion of Ordinance

2025-1650, an ordinance amending Chapter

20.622 of the Douglas County Code (the “VHR

Ordinance”), by revising restrictions on VHRs

in residential communities north of Cave Rock

State Park; clarifying fines for renting with a

revoked VHR permit; and revising penalties for

local licensed property managers.
