NOTICE OF DRAFT LOCAL AND
REGIONAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
PLANS PUBLICATION
The Local Strategic Workforce Development
Plan for the Golden Sierra Workforce
Development Board (GSWDB) and the
Capital Area Regional Strategic Workforce
Development Plan will be submitted to the
State of California Employment Development
Department Workforce Services Division on or
before April 27, 2025. Funds for this program
are provided by the Federal Department of
Labor (DOL) through the State of California
under the Workforce Innovation and
Opportunity Act.
The GSWDB Local Strategic Workforce
Plan and the Capital Area Regional Strategic
Workforce Development Plan covers the
period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2029.
Both plans provide detail on the provision of
workforce development activities and services
through the local workforce development
system that increases the employment,
retention, earnings and occupational skill
attainment for participants; and as a result,
improves the quality of the workforce, and
enhances the productivity and competitiveness
of the residents of Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado,
Glenn, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and
Yuba counties.
Copies of the Capital Area Regional Plan
will be available for public comment and
review via the website www.goldensierra.
com/public-notices. A 30-day comment period
will commence January 10, 2025 through
February 9, 2025.
Copies of GSWDB’s Local Plan will be
available for public comment and review
via the website www.goldensierra.com/
public-notices. A 30-day comment period
will commence January 29, 2025 through
February 28, 2025.
