The Carson Valley Arts Council presents an evening with the Stella Heath Quintet.
Stella Heath will perform 7 p.m. March 14 at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave., in Minden.
A versatile young vocalist and bandleader whose passion for classic jazz spans the ’20s through the ’40s, Stella Heath presents an evening of music “From Billie Holiday to Edith Piaf.”
“Holiday and Piaf had many parallels in their lives, from great success to great tragedy, and both had an ability to live in the depth and nuance of the songs they sang, carrying their audiences along with them,” according to www.stellaheathmusic.com. “Stella showcases her love of American swing along with her love of French chanson and Jazz manouche with an all-star band including, Ian Scherer on guitar, Robby Elfman on Reed, Neil Fontano on Drums, and Daniel Fabricant on Bass.”
Tickets are $22 members, $27 general audience, and children under 18 are free with a paid adult ticket.
