Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open for the Douglas County School District.
This year, in order to be admitted into kindergarten, all students must be 5-years-old on or before Aug. 1.
Registration for new nonkinder students is also open.
Returning students are automatically enrolled into the next school year, but it is requested that families update student information, including emergency contact and review district policies by the beginning of the new school year.
According to the Douglas County School District website, early registration is encouraged as late registration could result in placement at a neighboring school based on enrollment numbers.
The school district utilizes Infinite Campus for its student data information system. Parents and families of new and current students will utilize online registration through Infinite Campus to provide and update information.
To register visit https://www.dcsd.net/enrollment/kinder and click “enroll now” to be taken to the Infinite Campus portal. Through the secure online enrollment system, parents are able to verify all student demographic, emergency, and medical information for their child prior to the start of the new school year.
The school sites need the most-up-to date family address, phone, medical information, permissions from parents for students so they can participate in field trips and other school-related activities, as well as media release for photographs or videos of them participating in various school functions.
It is also required that parents complete the registration process by attending the school their child will attend and provide the school with the child’s original birth certificate, complete and up-to-date immunization records required by Nevada law, and two primary forms of residency showing the current physical address for the student.
