Opening Reception & Photography Exhibit — An evening featuring local photographers and artists who showcase wildlife and agricultural landscapes. Enjoy a live raptor presentation, engage in discussions about conservation, and experience artwork inspired by the region while sampling appetizers from Sierra Chef.
Friday
Wetlands Tour — Explore Carson Valley’s wetlands with guides who will discuss habitat conservation, migratory bird populations, and the importance of wetland ecosystems. This tour includes a short, level-ground hike to view waterfowl and other species.
Local Barn Tour — A guided bus tour providing access to historic barns throughout Carson Valley. Participants will learn about the history of timber framing, the role of barns in agriculture, and how these structures contribute to conservation efforts.
Falconers’ Dinner — An engaging evening that explores the connection between raptors and agriculture while delving into the history of Carson Valley’s ranches. Falconers and conservation experts will discuss the role of birds of prey in land management, their impact on local ecosystems, and the longstanding agricultural traditions of the region. The evening includes a full dinner at Carson Valley Inn.
Saturday
Eagle & Ranch Tour — The signature event of Eagles & Ag provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Carson Valley ranches, where participants will observe bald and golden eagles, hawks, and other birds of prey. Hear from ranchers, BSers, and conservationists as they share insights into habitat management, conservation practices, and the vital connections between agriculture and local wildlife.

Saturday & Sunday
Photography Workshop — Led by Carson Valley wildlife photographer Kim Steed, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to connect with local photographers through a roundtable discussion and hands-on field experience. On Saturday evening, participants will explore wildlife photography techniques while enjoying appetizers from Sierra Chef and capturing the beauty of the Minden Mill. Sunday morning will focus on photographing raptors and Carson Valley’s scenic landscapes. Throughout the weekend, local photographers will showcase their work at CVIC Hall, highlighting stunning perspectives of the region’s wildlife and natural beauty.
Sunday
Raptor Highway & Byway Tour— This tour is designed to take advantage of optimal morning light and reduced traffic. This guided driving tour focuses on identifying raptor species, their behaviors, and their significance in the Carson Valley ecosystem.
